What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your browser or device when you visit. Cookies are widely used to keep sites working correctly, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the people who operate the site.
Cookies cannot run programmes or carry viruses. They are passive — they do not read other data from your device, and they can only be read by the website that originally set them, or by third parties to whom that site has explicitly granted access.
Related tracking technologies, such as pixel tags and browser local storage, work similarly and are also described in this policy where we use them.
Categories of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Duration | Consent required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | These cookies are needed for the site to function. They include session management and security features. Without them, the site cannot operate as intended. | Session | No |
| Preference | These remember choices you make, such as whether you have acknowledged our cookie notice. We use browser localStorage for this purpose. | 1 year | Yes |
| Analytics | We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate visitor behaviour — pages viewed, session duration, and general traffic sources. No personally identifying data is sent. | Up to 2 years | Yes |
| Marketing | We use Meta Pixel and Microsoft Bing Ads conversion tracking to understand whether our advertising campaigns bring relevant visitors to our site. These are set only when consented. | Up to 180 days | Yes |
Specific cookies and identifiers in use
Google Analytics 4
GA4 sets cookies prefixed _ga and _ga_<ID> to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions across pages. The data is aggregated and used solely for site improvement purposes.
Provider: Google LLC. Data may be processed in the United States under Google's data processing terms. For more detail see Google's privacy policy.
Meta Pixel
The Meta Pixel tracks visits and conversion events using the _fbp and _fbc cookies. This helps us understand how our Meta advertising activity relates to site visits.
Provider: Meta Platforms, Inc. Data may be processed in the United States. See Meta's data policy for further details.
Microsoft Bing Ads (UET)
Bing Universal Event Tracking sets the _uetsid and _uetvid cookies to measure conversions and session activity for our Bing advertising campaigns.
Provider: Microsoft Corporation. See Microsoft's privacy statement for more information.
Cookie consent (localStorage)
We record your cookie consent decision in your browser's local storage under the key cookieConsent. This is not transmitted to any server and remains only on your device. It expires after one year unless you clear your browser storage before then.
Managing your cookie preferences
Our cookie notice
When you first visit our site, a notice appears at the bottom of the screen. Accepting that notice enables preference, analytics, and marketing cookies. If you close the notice without accepting, only strictly necessary cookies remain active. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage — this will cause the notice to reappear on your next visit.
Browser-level controls
Most browsers allow you to review, block, or delete cookies through their settings menus. The steps vary by browser. Relevant guidance is available from the providers below.
Please be aware that disabling certain cookies may affect how pages display or how the site functions.
Third-party opt-outs
You may also manage analytics and advertising preferences directly with third-party providers. Google's opt-out tool is available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Meta's ad preferences manager can be found within your Facebook or Instagram account settings. Microsoft's personalised advertising opt-out is described in their privacy statement.
Legal basis for use
Veridian operates under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) of Thailand. We rely on the following legal bases for cookie use:
- Strictly necessary cookies — Legitimate interest in delivering a functioning website.
- Preference, analytics, and marketing cookies — Your consent, given via the cookie notice on the site's homepage.
You are free to withdraw consent at any time without adverse consequence. Withdrawing consent does not affect any processing that took place prior to withdrawal.
Data sharing and transfers
Cookie data collected by third-party analytics and advertising tools (Google, Meta, Microsoft) is processed by those organisations under their own terms and privacy policies. Veridian does not sell or transfer cookie-derived data to any other party.
Where data is processed outside Thailand, we rely on the contractual frameworks and standard data protection clauses maintained by each respective provider.
Updates to this policy
We review this Cookie Policy from time to time and update it when our practices change. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of this page reflects when it was most recently checked. Continuing to use the site after an update constitutes acknowledgement of the revised policy.
